I would recommend getting a bar strainer eventually. Some cocktail shakers have a built-in strainer which will work fine. To make a Last Word you are going to need a cocktail shaker, a jigger to measure, and a strainer. To make a great cocktail, you need some essential tools. You can purchase cocktail cherries at most grocery stores and liquor stores, however, they tend to be a little expensive. How to Garnish This Cocktailīecause the last word has lime juice and maraschino liqueur in it, the most common garnishes are a maraschino cocktail cherry and/or a lime twist. You'll notice in my photo I put the cherry at the bottom of the glass, really it should be presented as a garnish on a stick and the consumer can decide if they want it in the drink.
